A Message from FFMA President, Mickey Farrell:
Welcome to FFMA! I hope you didn’t get here by accident but with a strong desire to find out what FFMA is all about. We are a team of dedicated Florida facility managers seeking and sharing information to better serve our guests, searching for ways to increase revenue during difficult economic times and encouraging our members to collaborate in an effort to enhance the successful management of businesses such as ours.
I would like to thank our 2010 Annual Conference Chair, Kim Stone and the rest of her Committee for putting together such a great agenda for last month’s Annual Conference. I also want to thank our Executive Director, Cherie Dubay for the outstanding job she did handling all the numerous details that went into planning our conference and Annual Meeting.
It gives me great pleasure to welcome a new Director-at-Large, Scott Glaser to the FFMA Board. Scott has been very active in the association for years and will make a great addition to the Board. Scott is filling the spot on the Board that Mark Striffler occupied for the last two years. Mark chaired our Website and Scholarship Committee during his term and has agreed to continue to chair the Scholarship Committee. Thank you Mark for your service on the Board and your continued support of FFMA.

Scholarship Winners Announced.
The $500 College Scholarship was awarded to Justin Andrews, who received his undergraduate degree at Southeastern University and is currently enrolled in the Masters Sport Management Program at Florida Atlantic University.
The FFMA Annual Meeting Scholarship was awarded to Casey McLear. Casey is enrolled as an undergraduate in Sport Management and Communication at the Unversity of Tampa.
A total of 17 applications were received for our scholarship offerings this year.
