President's Greeting:
The Florida Facility Managers Association website is your portal to the only State of Florida
association composed of public assembly venue management professionals.
Started in 1985, FFMA takes great pride in providing our members with a multitude of possible
opportunities created to enhance their knowledge and professional development as they strive
to be effective facility managers.
FFMA members are upper level management executives in a broad spectrum of facility types
from amphitheaters, auditoriums, arenas, convention centers, exhibit halls, performing arts
theaters, racing complexes and stadiums. These facilities attract millions of patrons to an
astonishing variety of events from sports, to concerts, to conventions, to symphonies, to
ballets, to Broadway plays...the list of diverse entertainment possibilities is endless.
Our number one objective is to promote and develop professionalism in the management and
presentation of public assembly events in the state. This is accomplished through a collective
network of members sharing individual creativity and learned management techniques with
the members through annual meetings and seminars, along with phone, newsletter and
internet communications.
Representing over 70 venues in Florida, FFMA members are responsible for the presentation of
thousands of events on an annual basis that attract millions of people to local municipalities
for educational and entertainment purposes. These facilities contribute billions of dollars
annually in economic impact to the State.
